Cordin's
Rotating Mirror CCD cameras
are the digital evolution of the rotating
mirror streak film cameras installed in many labs worldwide for
which Cordin is well known.
The
Model 131 series is the digital evolution of Cordin's very
popular streak film cameras - a mainstay of research for decades.
They use fiber optic minifiers to transfer the image from
the circular track around the rotating mirror to high resolution
CCDs. Images from individual CCDs are assembled and aligned
in software to produce a continuous, very high resolution
digital streak image.
The
131 series does not use intensifiers or image converter devices.
This means images can be captured with meaningful 12 bit image
depth.
Use
of electronic sensors means image capture is shuttered electronically
in microseconds, which relaxes the light control requirements
from the experiment considerably relative to film record capture.
The
systems have two channel electronic fiducial inputs which
capture signals on a common time base with the streak record.
This enables precise temporal analysis of signals occuring
within the event. They also include two channels of built-in time delay, on a common time base with the record for interfacing with the experiment.
Model
131 Camera
| The Model 131 is based on a 4 megapixel CCD. |

Configurations
Extended
Record - The standard record arc of 15,280 pixels in the
temporal direction can be expanded to 22,920 pixels.
Turbine Speed - The 131 can be configured with either a 2,500 rps turbine or a 7,500 rps turbine.

Model
131-HD Camera
The
Model 131-HD streak camera is based on a 16 megapixel CCD.

 |
Configurations
Track Width - The 131-HD is available with either a singe track of 4,800 pixels width or a double track of 6,400 pixels width.
Extended Record - The standard recording length in the temporal direction can be expanded. For the single track version, a 16,000 pixel standard can be expanded to 22,400 pixels, and for the double track version, a 14,400 pixel standard can be expanded to 19,200 pixels.
