Despite
the many advances in electronic imaging, film is still
the best medium for capturing the highest quality images
at very fast rates. Cordin film cameras have complex
optical systems and use conventional film, either black
and white or color.
There
are two basic types; Rotating Mirror and Rotating Drum.
Rotating Mirror systems produce the highest quality
images at the fastest rates. Rotating Drum systems produce
the most frames and are more economical.

DRUM
Rotating
Drum Cameras offer framing rates up to 200,000 frames
per second, with image resolution very near the limit
of the film. They are the less optically complex and
therefore more economical of the two film camera types.

ROTATING
MIRROR
Rotating
Mirror Cameras offer the higher image quality and faster
image acquisition rates of the two types of Cordin film
cameras. They are capable of up to 25 million frames
per second, and most produce images above the maximum
resolution of the film.
Rotating
Mirror Cameras come in framing, streak, and combination
streak/framing versions.
